Pros

Was placed in a temp position the next day.

Cons

Biggest downside is benefits and salary. Compared to the job's actual salary thats listed on the clients website its more then 10000 less and as for the health benefits I would get better care under state medicaid copared to what they offer. But the most important thing for anyone reading this is that they will say anything to get you take the job. They stated at the intial interview my hourly wage would be 13.00 something and that there would be room for growth and I would be there long enough to goto perm. But the next day I found out I was being paid 10.85/hr and the job would only last for 5 weeks.

Pros

Flexible working situation and friendly people. The work is fairly consistent for a staffing agency. I would recommend Randstad over other options. From what I could tell, the pay was competitive with other agencies. If I lost my current job, then I would have no problem temping at Ranstad until I could find permanent work.

Cons

Temping can only get you so far. I never felt like I gained a tremendous amount of experience in one setting. I had to move on after about six months. My jobs were very random and didn't really fit with my interests or skills.

Pros

The only one I can think of is to make money for a short time if nothing else is available.

Cons

1. There is a high turnover of placement coordinators, or agents, or whatever you choose to call them. Thus, it is difficult to build any kind of useful business relationship with them. 2. They staffed for Merrill Lynch. 3. You have to bug them and bug them about work, and when I called - after an interview - they had trouble remembering me. 4. A previous placement coordinator neglected to inform me that the regular weekly position I had was canceled one week. I showed up at my assignment, ready to work, only to be told I would have to go home and that I wouldn't get paid. Considering the burden of information sharing was on the part of Randstad, and it was due to their poor communication and management that I wasn't told I wasn't needed, I felt cheated.
