      Pros

      I spent around four years at Raytheon and gained titles, experience and knowledge needed to launch my career. I enjoyed some challenges and some engineers I worked with

      Cons

      The culture is dominated by toxic union culture, I cant even move a box without making sure union rep was there to do it for me. Unproductive and lazy causing motivated young employees to follow lead. Management structure is terrible so hopefully you get a great manger. Promotion/professional development are HORRIBLE. High performers are leveraged and not paid while lazy senior members make triple the amount and you will ned to fight for real pay increases. Got a 70% Pay bump when I left for another company

      Interesting and sometimes challenging work

      Cons

      They do everything they can to pay you as little as possible. They will pay unproven people more to come work for them than to keep the proven talent they already have. Over the last couple of years they have approved BILLIONS in stock buybacks, while having the nerve to tell employees they just can't give decent raises (except to themselves). And you can forget about promotions without a job offer from another company in hand. Use this job to get it on your resume, then move for a pay raise.

      Pros

      Great place to work for junior engineers to get their expertise improved upon and have something to put on their resume that catches the eyes of other companies.

      Cons

      With over 20 years in the company was told directly from one of my past managers that for me to move up should leave the company and come back. Positions that are senior grade or other jobs went to outside individuals. Was so upset at this Company trying many times to move up that I decided to leave Raytheon.
