      Directionless, siloed, tired company.

      Pros

      Good commitment to corporate responsibility. Decent people trying to do good work, some high levels of professionalism. Nice building, especially the cafeteria.

      Cons

      Business units were very siloed - I was in one of the few cross-matrixed teams and was shocked to hear a VP one day admit that they didn't have a clue what was going on in other divisions. Senior leadership seemed to lack direction and strategy, therefore it was difficult to execute effective projects.

      RealNetworks pays competitively and provides good benefits to their employees. Management genuinely tries hard to make the company successful.

      Cons

      RealNetworks is having a hard time to grow. Most of the new investment decisions are based on short term gain instead of basing on the long term vision.
