Pros

Subsidized cafeteria, nice office exterior, parking garage. Some nice people who haven’t yet drunk the company Kool-Aid. Strong technology and technical expertise. CEO has a great story.

Cons

Salespeople are treated like children. Constantly worried about violating compliance rules, attendance rules, you name it. Listen to every cabasedll, bosses hovering and meeting with salespeople multiple times per week to push numbers. Terrible hours for new employees. Up-selling expensive products to customers they don’t want or need. Bait and switch marketing. And worst of all, demanding private credit information (e.g. SSNs) prior to giving any pricing while falsely claiming that pricing and promotions available are based credit-worthiness, which is primarily untrue. Pricing and promotions are virtually the same for ALL customers, so credit check is not necessary and is used simply to leverage them into buying aforementioned unnecessary products.

Pros

The money is pretty good but not good enough to deal with this place.

Cons

Worst job ever. You walk in on your first day thinking it's going to be great. They sell you on the amenities like a bowling alley and basketball court when in reality you'll NEVER use that after your first week of training. They also try to sell you on the "awesome benefits" which aren't even that great. You have to pay back your PTO, you have to work weird hours (nobody gets a 9-5 M-F unless you've been there for a few years) you have to work every holiday, the turnover rate is really high because nobody wants to stay there for more than a few months, workforce is horrible and will never let you go home even if you are sick or have a doctors note that you shouldn't be at work, you have to request bathroom time, if you go over 15min of break or bathroom time in one request you get points that count against you, there is mandatory overtime almost every week because they don't have enough people working, they deny your lunches when you request to go on lunch when you've been there for hours, and you take calls back to back with no breaks and they will punish you if you even take a minute break between calls. This is a sales job but you are talking to the scum of the earth that call in and nobody can take those calls back to back without going insane.

Pros

Smart, capable, driven coworkers Longitudinal freedom Food and beer a-plenty

Cons

No processes in place for most things means evaluating your own performance or performance of others is a crapshoot, often boiling down to personal opinions instead of effectiveness, completely contradicting their so-called performance-driven culture. Combined with unrealistic expectations and understaffing and baby, you've got a terrible stew going.
