Nightmare Job

Pros

- Fifteen per hour salary regardless of performance - Clear job instructions - Active management

Cons

- Very difficult to make commissions within first six months due to compensation structure - You will be pressured to ignore your moral compass and lie if it means you can make the sale versus not make the sale - No weekends off. You work at least 1 weekend day. - Starting shifts are 1pm-10pm weekdays, 3pm-12am on Friday/Sunday - All inbound sales calls are just the luck of the draw. System is set up so if you have a bad inbound call, you get bad inbound phone call leads moving forward. - Constant shuffle of managers - Only 2 days off per quarter - Record all sales calls to ensure compliance. Compliance fires people on the spot for saying the wrong thing on a call. - Managers discourage you from taking time off or changing your shifts around, and will demean you publicly for asking to come in at a different time - Breaks are timed to the second

It's a trap!

Pros

Excellent benefits package, good base pay plus commission which can bring in great money if you're an effective salesperson and have literally nothing else going on in your life.

Cons

churn and burn business model. no work-life balance. if you have to take a sick day it comes out of your 8hr/month of "emergency time" and if you run out of ET you're automatically fired no matter if you had a valid reason to be out of not. Had a great coworker who was fired for having to take a day off when her son broke his arm. A billion rules on what you can and can't say, rude customers, and out of touch "performance coaches" who hound you nonstop if you don't produce 100% perfection every day.

Not all it's cracked up to be

Pros

Great benefits, lots of activities, good pay.

Cons

Despite the great benefits and PTO given, depending on where you work within the company, you may feel like you can't take advantage of all that Red Ventures offers. There is a lack of boundaries. Your free time is not necessarily your free time. We were told that just because the "workday" was over, we are professionals and should be reachable whenever. Taking a PTO day often meant calls/requests while off.
