Pros

They used to be good company to start your career. It still not bad for someone going threw a boot camp as at least you get some real world experience. They pay you money and on time. Some of the teams have great people to work with

Cons

The company has gone down hill rapidly during the past year. It became clear that the CEO Rick is more like a cult leader and pushing a cult like belief. Upper leadership is changing directions of things quickly. I watch them lay off several people who saved the company with hard work and then let them go afterwards. Those people were the product experts technically and now the rest of us are there to pick up the pieces. It was a very poor way of doing it with a rather pathetic severance. Quality is no longer and has not been a thing for a while. The fact that multiple web sights are barely held together is sad. It is running on an old tech stack and they are not trying to change. They lead people on with promotions at pay raise yet do nothing. The pay is currently 30-40% below industry average. The upper salary ranges meet industry average but their is no bonuses, or RSU so the TC is way to low. It no longer place people want to be. Many of the longer term employees are leaving in record numbers and have been for a while. I myself started looking for the same reasons and now more pushing it hard. The company is looking to outsource all engineering. It is very clear based on how they have been hiring. Avoid Red Ventures if you can.
