      Friendly coworkers, great environment, good benefits.

      Cons

      Because they are owned by a holding company at this time, the raises/bonuses are not merit based. The salary increases are a percentage across the board which is a deterant to those who work above and beyond.

      Creating new products with current architecture to replace old, outdated legacy products.

      Cons

      People are expected to work a lot of overtime. The company is profitable but management keeps making more cuts so it will be all the more profitable. They expect the remaining people to work even more to meet customer and company commitments while laying off hardworking, dedicated employees.

      Completely different type of job experience than any before. I'd always worked in purchasing in a manufacturing environment. The folks in this work place were of a calmer disposition. The benefits at this job were the best I've ever had.

      Politics were different. Hard to know where you stood.
