Pros

Cool atmosphere that includes music all day and an open work space. Good people that are willing to help if you ask.

Cons

No clue what they're doing in the sales department. No training whatsoever. No experience on the sales side to help. Cold calling all day. Prices usually too high to compete.

Pros

There are lots of opportunities to learn and mature as a salesperson. The training program is great and really prepares you for the floor. For the first couple of weeks you shadow all the different roles in the company. Getting to sit with customer sales and operations prepares you for working as a carrier rep. Everyone is actually friendly and encouraging. Coworkers are enthusiastic about helping you learn and make you better are your job. The potential to make a lot of money in a short amount of time is real. After only being with the company (and industry) for 7 months, I am already on commission. Managers and higher ups are awesome and extremely approachable. The company events and pizza lunches are just a bonus because it really is a great place to work.

Cons

The only problem for me is the commute. Living in the burbs and sitting in rush hour traffic after a long day is not fun.

Pros

The people that work at Redwood are cool and easy to get along with which makes the daily grind easier. Redwood is a good place to get industry experience. The training for new employees is improving.

Cons

This is a desk job with potential for high stress and long hours (10 hour days on average). Redwood is a great place to work if you are just getting out of college and want some industry experience, however building a career here will be difficult to do if you are not one of the upper management favorites. There are a lot of hard working people at Redwood that are stuck in their current roles because they do not have the desired extrovert personality type for promotions.
