Pros
One of the first things I noticed when I started here is the high-level of expertise and talent that gets recruited. Which makes collaboration a very interesting and dynamic experience. The owner and most dept managers will give you latitude to operate and try new initiatives, once you've proven your ability. It's just expected that you are transparent in your reporting, and that you provide rationals for your decisions grounded in data and logic. Those who are unable do any of the above, usually won't last too long. The company is also at a very exciting juncture in its existence. It is in the process of transitioning from a small tech start-up into a medium-sized corporation. So there's a lot of new and interesting initiatives to be a part of and leave your mark on. Casual work environment. Compensation is also very fair and offers a bonus structure. As long as you do your work correctly and in a timely manner, it's very easy to maintain a decent work/home-life balance.
Cons
As I mentioned above the company is going through a transition, and while this provides numerous opportunities, it also does cause some confusion for staff as new processes and procedures get hammered out. But these are normal growing pains for any company. Workflow can be a little too fluid, communication and delegating areas of responsibility can get muddied, but this seems temporary and is not case in most instances.
