Pros

I have worked at Reflex Media for a little over a year now. It has been going through quite a bit of reorganization recently. Unfortunately, that led to weeding out bad apples or restructuring of teams. While reading the previous reviews, I can almost guarantee I know who wrote them (both good and bad). It's most definitely not fair as a disgruntled employee to get on Glassdoor and publicly bash a company just based on your one negative experience or just because you didn't get your way. That's not to say that this company is perfect. No company is. But I will tell you that this company cares about it's employees. So much so, that they have made plenty of efforts to include all team members in the revamping of our culture during times of restructuring. The culture is actually pretty welcoming and fun. Teams collaborate with each other on different projects. And those who don't collaborate, still get to interact with each other at company and team building events. The CEO is painted as a bad guy by those who do not get their way simply because he is the only one to point the finger at. Frankly, if he turns down an idea, it's usually done after much thought and is just not right for the company as a whole. Overall, the company is still going through a bit of reorganization, for the better. This is a company that invests in it's employee's career growth and really looks for people who want to be here long term and contribute to something meaningful. If you are thinking about applying to Reflex Media, my advice would be to disregard the overly negative rants on Glassdoor and actually submit your application. After talking to the Recruiter and Hiring Manager, you'll be able to decide for yourself whether or not this is a fit for you.

Cons

As I mentioned before, the company is weeding out bad apples. By this, I mean people who have a sense of entitlement or who think that because the company is a close knit company, that they can somehow change their own jobs just because they are bored with whatever role they are doing. This company is always open to growth and career advancement, but it has to make sense for the company as well as the individual. I've never worked in an environment where people felt they had the right to scream at other team members, including the CEO, because they don't like decisions that are being made. As I said, those few people didn't last very long, thankfully. Things seem a lot calmer now that the drama birds are no longer tainting the environment.

Overall, good place to work

Pros

Very relaxed environment, fantastic work-life balance, good pay and bonus structure, cool co-workers, the company is always evolving and looking for ways to make it a better place to work, you're able to carve your own path and the ability to grow is always there.

Cons

There's no level between management and the CEO. The CEO is fairly well rounded, but it's hard to be an expert in every facet of business. Because of this it can sometimes feel like things aren't being done properly or that you're just spinning your wheels.
