Pros

- Free movie tickets for you and one guest - Free popcorn and drinks while on the clock, discounted food/candy at all REG locations - Floor staff at most locations tend to be friendly, college/high school teens. - Relative ease of advancement (I was promoted to Senior Cast Member within a year of hiring)

Cons

- Constant scheduling conflicts, schedule changes every single week - Floor staff will always start at minimum wage and increase approximately 20 cents a year. - Due to insurance reform laws, all non-manager employees are part time and cannot work over 25 hours a week - Managers are typically just the employees who have been there the longest - Promotion to Senior Cast Member does not come with a pay raise - Needs of non-concession floor staff are ignored, sidelined to support concessionists - Most employees can expect to work every Friday and Saturday evening - Only receive holiday pay for Christmas, Thanksgiving, and Easter. - Must work holidays - Employees over the age of 18 can often expect to work until 2:00 AM and return by 11:00 AM the next day.

A few bad apples...

Pros

Free movies and discounts on concessions (at any Regal) Great coworkers - helped make work more enjoyable Easy to move up if you know what you're doing and are good at it.

Cons

Promised "flexible schedule" and competitive pay, but had contant scheduling conflicts and pay never beat minimum wage, despite good reviews and time employed. Excessive "management knows best" attitudes from a few managers. Had to give up plenty of weekend and holiday time to work "peak hours" (only three paid holidays).

Pros

Good if you're just looking for a part-time job while going to school. Free movies. Fun work environment and great coworkers. Management were good people, friendly and nice to work for.

Cons

Full time isn't available except for managers. Often promotions are based on popularity instead of competence. Low pay, low hours and little benefits offered. But at least it's an easy job.
