Pros

A part-time minimum wage paycheck, always a benefit when those times in life that you need it.

Cons

The management is just employees that have survived through it all and are not necessarily the smartest tools in the shed. That's not their fault or the company's fault, just the structure of this industry.

Pros

Scheduling is very flexible. I was able to work almost full time while going to college full time as well. They have fair policies for raises and advancement. This will vary depending on the theatre, but the two I worked at had really good people at the theatre level. Reasonably decent benefit opportunities for part time employees.

Cons

Corporate management is disrespectful and dismissive towards field personnel. HR department is heavy handed and can go on witch hunts. Lack of proper communication between departments results in frequent contradictions and poorly implemented programs from corporate.
