Pros

-Days off are incredibly easy to get because the staff is so large. -After working for a couple of months, you can change your availability and work to your convenience. -Great job for a teenager to start at because the environment is so welcoming. -No serious penalties for being late. Ever.

Cons

-Many employees at each theater leads to a feeling that everyone is easily expendable. -Condescension by customers and managers alike. -Mundane tasks which often lead to standing around and watching the clock. -Incompetent management and people are promoted for the wrong reasons.

Pros

You get to watch movies for free, the pay is comparable to other entry-level type positions, and the management is great

Cons

The hours that one is expected to work is a little extreme, and since Regal theatres are open 365 days a year you are expected to work on holidays

Pros

At least where I worked I knew a lot of my coworkers from school and we became good friends, after a while when we got newer employees we got pushed into more managerial floor positions but still did the work. Easy work, some days busy of course, but overall easier than other jobs.

Cons

Pay is minimum wage with very little upwards movement. Even the hourly managers (ours were all promoted from floor staff but they were usually there all year or worked way too hard...) made only 10 bucks or so, those who had been there longer made maybe 11 bucks an hour. Initially you get very few hours the first summer Iworked, maybe only 4 hours a week. later i only worked summers and during college breaks and I was getting still only 25 hours a week.
