Pros

Abilities are rewarded. Promotions available for those who are willing to work for it. Great co-workers - I really enjoyed it. Great experience and a good way to build up resume.

Cons

Stressful environment, can sometimes feel like support is lacking. Could be better about communicating expectations to workforce. Management could do a better job at setting the company direction.

Pros

Benefits are pretty good, and there are a lot of banking perks (obviously). Work-life balance is great, overtime is quite rare. People are generally very friendly and easy to work with, and management seems to care about their employees. An effort is made to retain employees (as long as that doesn't involve money!).

Cons

It's a bank, so the pay is not great. Some managers clearly got their position as a result of length of employment instead of quality (but I guess that's everywhere). Some senior leaders are resistant to change, and change that does take place comes about s-l-o-w-l-y. All roads lead to Birmingham, which isn't exactly New York or Miami (but a decent place to raise kids).

Regions...what a joke

Pros

Some of the best things about working in the Regions contact center (Green Line) is having the support of a great team...that's if you're lucky to get a good team leader and supervisor. Some of the daily competitions are cool and fun as well.

Cons

They push sales so hard that you're no longer focused on customer service. You need to be selling credit cards to customers. If you're not selling, you're not worth their time.
