      Pros

      9-5 type of so I is a good stepping stone to something else.

      Cons

      they dont really trust lower level branch associates - the technology is awful - very nice computer on the desk, but everything request a paper form in order to update information on customers accounts

      Pros

      There are numerous career opportunities at Regions. If you are tired of your position or just want a change, opportunities are everywhere. Advancement depends on the individual. Management believes in a good work/life/family balance.

      Cons

      Increases in pay are at a minimum right now. Annual raises average around 3%. So, be sure to get fair market value for your position when you start. Benefits are average and are similar to other banks. Unfortunately, office politics are common in the workplace. My employee morale is high, but most employees are very timid these days and worry about layoffs.

      Regions was once great. . . and could be again.

      Pros

      Regions (or at least what Regions used to be) is a great bank to work for. I worked with a large number of very sharp people who really cared about their work and always provided the best level of service possible. Many of these brilliant co-workers have advanced into higher positions within the bank and have become extremely successful.

      Cons

      Far to often, the loud and obnoxious know-nothings were promoted into leadership positions while those with experience and a real understanding of the bank and its products were ignored. Mergers have suffocated the culture and values of the legacy Regions Bank. What remains is an organization that does not live up to its true potential.
