Pros

Wonderful people and wide range of experience acquired quickly due to high workload and responsibility level. Excellent for the person looking to dive head-first into the nonprofit field.

Cons

Responsibilities outside of your role: You often end up doing the work of two or three people, so this can be a fast-paced, stressful environment.

Pros

Some of the nicest people to work with in a somewhat small organization. Inter-departmental relationships are great and easy to work with. Good place to step into the non-profit arena.

Cons

Hours can be long if your work load tends to grow exponentially. Although, there are certain months of the year where things tend to pile up and time when things are "normal."
