“We know there are a ton of rumors and they are all true.” Leo - former Remine CEO This is how they opened a meeting laying off 30% of the company. At the same time they are now hiring a barista. A company must invest its investment funds correctly to survive. The coffee and free food may be nice but don not be fooled by the facade. All the warning signs that a tech company will not be successful are here. Investors beware 1. Extremely high customer churn 2. Abhorrent data quality 3. Immoral sales tactics 4. Lack of focus on customer success They had a great ride to 13 million in MRR but the ride is officially over. Here are some other notes to consider. No transparency, a broken business model, unsavory and unethical business practices , inability to maintain cash flow, not respective of your human rights.

Cons

Most of these recent reviews mention a toxic culture where the founders are dishonest and run things their way without any consideration of the chain of torture that follows and it’s true. We sat through countless all hands with promises of change, structure, improved WLB, transparency and how we matter. All empty words that now echo through a space where only a small number of survivors remain. Start ups shift and change directions often and that’s understandable. I think I can safely assume that many of us feel used and abused, though. The facade of transparency and honesty made us believe in the product we were building. With each new feature, new client or a new deal, we believed we were being part of something great that would disrupt the real estate market. They made us believe we were in this together and I think that sucks the most.

- You'll get to work with the "best" (some super cool, better-than-thou Bay Area vegan coders!!!!!) - Employment is better than nothing, I suppose

Cons

- As listed in an earlier review, only a few people will ultimately benefit from the success of this company - The CTO that "has your back" and is never there to support you or the team - A general mess of product direction - Total lack of courtesy and trust between employees

Thanks for taking the time to share your perspective. It sounds like you didn’t have a great experience while working at Remine, and while we try hard to be a great company to work for, we are always learning and growing. Our current organizational structure has many of our employees sitting under the CTO. While this worked when we had 20 engineers, it is no longer effective for either our CTO or our employees. We are actively hiring leaders on Engineering and Product to not only foster a more supportive environment, but to help Remine continue to adjust and refine how we operate as a company.
