Pros

My Journey at Remitly: 18 Months of Growth and Impact Over the past 18 months at Remitly, I've embraced a series of exciting challenges within an incredibly collaborative team environment. One of the highlights has been leading several internal, customer-facing projects. Taking ownership of these initiatives allowed me to apply my passion for helping others achieve their goals, thereby making a positive impact on both our customers and the company. Remitly's culture is uniquely focused on delivering meaningful impact at a fast pace. It's an environment where dynamic professionals are encouraged to grow, supported by exceptional leaders who are deeply invested in our success. This commitment to personal and professional development is a testament to Remitly's core values, including customer centricity, delivering on promises, and hiring and growing exceptional people. Being part of a team that values collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement has been both inspiring and rewarding. I'm proud to contribute to Remitly's mission of transforming lives with trusted financial services that transcend borders

Cons

The fast-paced nature of the organization is invigorating, but it sometimes leads to overlapping responsibilities. Clarifying role definitions might help streamline processes

Pros

For me, the value “Aim for the Stars” has been a guiding principle throughout my journey at Remitly. I started as a program specialist in a brand-new line of business and eventually transitioned into a global team. That shift didn’t happen overnight, it was the result of persistence, continuous learning, and most importantly, the unwavering support of exceptional leaders. I truly wouldn’t be where I am today without their guidance. It’s the leaders who make growth like this possible, and that’s something I deeply appreciate about working here and that's a Remitly Branded Experience that separates to others.

Cons

Of course, like any growing global company, there’s always room to improve. One area I’d love to see evolve is how we connect globally. While we’re in a digital-first world, I think there’s real value in creating more opportunities for face-to-face interactions, whether that’s through team summits, cultural exchanges, or in-person collaboration across regions. Meeting and understanding our teammates from different parts of the world would only strengthen our teamwork and deepen our shared culture.
