We greatly appreciate you taking the time to leave a review and we are delighted to hear you feel Remote is a great place to work. We understand that not having the physical separate between home and work can take a while to adjust to, but we always encourage all of our team members to take regular breaks and ensure they are planning their days in a way that works best for them!

Pros

It's really important to understand that Remote is at the time of this review 4 years old. There's a lot of growing pains which may not suit everyone and I think it's extremely important to understand what it means to get into a unicorn scaleup that is 4 years old. If this is what you want, there's a world of opportunities at Remote. If this is not for you, you will find a lot of things frustrating. - High level of flexibility, autonomy and trust - Ability to make an impact and help shape the company - Leadership willing to listen - Job as a CEO is great and communicates transparently with all employees - It's about what you do - not when and where you do it - Unlimited PTO really means unlimited PTO and you are never guilty for taking time off - it is in fact encouraged for you to be able to keep going strong.

Cons

While these are presented in the cons section, it can be interpreted as a pro/con depending on how you view the opportunity. - There's a lack of structure and multiple work streams can be created in silos and double-work with minimum efficiency can be a detriment. - More ownership and more transparency around ownership of various functions/projects - While feedback is encouraged, it's sometimes not clear how to provide it - It does have a lot of symptoms of a scaleup, meaning that some that were promoted to management were done so because of necessity and not necessarily because of fit. - If you come from an MNC, you may find it frustrating with lack of resources

Thank you for taking the time to leave such a detailed review! As you mentioned we are only 4 years old, so direct feedback like this helps us to improve while we grow. We will continuously strive to improve in areas such as structure and ownership within functions/projects. We were also delighted to hear some of the areas you enjoy such as autonomy, trust, the ability to make an impact & shape the company. We have no plans to change there!
