Renaissance now: Bottom line > Mission

Pros

Nice coworkers to be found in all corners of the company.

Cons

Renaissance Learning has undergone many changes in a short period of time. Not all of them are positive. They tout investments in innovation, but primary motivation is shifting from the mission central to the company's inception toward carbon-copy cutthroat business at the expense of customers (and employees who care for them). This trickles down from the revolving door of C-level leaders. Culture is crumbling. The left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing, and blames the right hand for it.

Thank you for taking time to write a review of Renaissance, though, I was disappointed to read about your experience working with us. We want Renaissance to be a rewarding place to work for our colleagues. While it is certainly true that we have experienced a lot of change in the past year or so, our commitment to our mission, to teachers and to students remains as strong as ever. We also recognize that as our organization evolves, our culture will too. — Kim Mitchell, Chief People Officer
