Pros

I enjoyed working for Renaissance for five years. Excellent product. Sales culture was positive until the end of 2020 beginning of 2021.

Cons

Pay inequity was severe. Transparency into how sales was commissioned was extremely low. When new CRO took over the culture shifted from one of trust and equity to one of mistrust and inequity. It was tough to get approval in a timely fashion because the CRO had final input on everything. I was extremely successful every year and was compensated less with higher goals the following year.

Poor Leadership - Terrible Culture

Pros

The new private equity firm that owns Renaissance seems to have a good plan to hopefully turn around a dying product line. The new CEO seems to really care about all facets of the organization and the people.

Cons

The sales leadership is extremely disconnected from the rest of the organization. Dripping in arrogance. They have no desire to listen to employee feedback and they are lacking customer knowledge.

As we build transparency and accountability into our work environment we are learning how much individuals and the team can absorb and are adjusting our pace accordingly. Creating a safe environment, where team members feel free to share their ideas and express their opinions, is paramount. Investing in colleagues' skills and career goals and professional development plans has been and will continue to be a priority. I hope you will consider talking with me privately to express your specific concerns and work with me to envision a space where you can thrive. — Tracy Hansen, Chief Marketing Officer
