A challenging place to work in all the right ways.

Pros

If you're a self-starter that can think quick on their feet, work across departments effectively to find solutions, and want to actually do cool stuff rather than just talk about it, this is the place for you. Renaissance is truly making a difference in the lives of students and educators -- the stories we hear of customer success are nothing short of inspiring -- and with plenty of new things on the horizon, the future for this company looks very bright. I work in our Marketing department, and I can say that the group of people I work with are some of the best and brightest I've had the pleasure to work with in my career. We motivate each other every day to think big, start small, and fail fast -- as Facebook-ish as that sounds, it's true.

Cons

If you're not used to a fast-paced environment, or you want a 9-5 job where you punch in and punch out, this may not be your best bet. We're an educational software company that needs to move quickly, and you're the one that will need to advocate for the work/life blend that makes the most sense to you.

Great if you're looking for a backwards company

The mission is good in theory...

Cons

Trying to be a "big" Silicon Valley company with small town people who have no college education...as mentioned before, the mission itself is good, but juxtapose as they continue to raise their prices year over year to the extent that schools can't afford it anymore. It's sad and so is the outlook of this company. Experienced sales people are going elsewhere. Not a place that offers a career, just a phone job. #deadendjob

*I always feel like I am doing worthwhile----------------Accelerating Learning for all children and adults. *Supportive structure for my continued professional growth so that I can provide the best for customers. *The company does their very best to send the message to customers that having the software does not mean that teachers can use it without training. *The products are researched.---I believe they create growth. *The company recognizes the need to offer districts with continuing financial concerns the need for a one product solution and they have spent a great deal of time he last few years working towards that.

Cons

Sometimes the Prep time and self learning time become a little overwhelming because I am part time. Compensation for this only goes so far. The upside to this is that because I am part time I can do it at my leisure.
