Pros

The training is fast. Everyone is close. Lots of a base locations. The planes are decent.

Cons

This company is the worst company I have ever worked for. The turnover is extremely high because the pay is so low. You start out making 18 an hour but your only working 80 hours a month. There were weeks were I had to starve myself. They cant keep employees from quitting but they also will find any reason to write you up. Half my training class of 40 people already quit or was fired. The management goes on power trips and crew scheduling will find any reason to throw you under the bus. I literally left the position with the manager of inflight screaming at me. The union is the worst. They mislead me and gave me false information leading to me getting in trouble for being in my cousins wedding and calling out of work. The CEO is creepy and sends religious emails. I seriously have wasted the last few months of my life with this job. Flight benefits are awesome but you can get those at any other airline. You get paid more and the companies have more respect for you. Seriously Republic's company culture is dissatisfaction amongst it's employees. I have yet to meet an employee that works there that actually loves the company. Most people want to go mainline asap. I know you want to be a flight attendant and the interview process here is very easy but it's not worth it. Don't make the same mistake I did and ignore these glassdoor reviews.

Pros

You will get to travel for free, when the flights are not oversold. You will get some flexibility in your schedule, eventually.

Cons

This company does not value you as a human being. Period. They will regularly screw you over, and treat you less than the pilots. The pilots are not treated well either, for reference. You are punished for calling out sick, even with a doctor's note. You will regularly get paid less than half of hours you work, especially when there are delays. And there are always delays. A coworker was just paid 3 hours for 28 hours of duty. This shouldn't be LEGAL. You know why no one wants to work here, and why there are delays, Bedford? The turnover rate is unmatched, because we are spit on and treated like dirt by the CEO/ upper management. Our pay is low, our contract is almost 10 years expired, we have no incentives to pick up work because you took away our red pay, we have no minimum day pay, and more worker benefits that should be included but are not. YOU WILL NOT BE TREATED BY A HUMAN BEING BY ANYONE but your coworkers--FAs and pilots, and by the trainers at HQ because they don't want you to quit immediately.

Pros

Quick to gain senority in some of the bases Schedule generated monthly almost 2 weeks in advance, makes it easy to plan around it Good benefits: medical/dental, flight benefits and discounts with partners (hotels, rental cars, etc) Friendly co-workers! Travel to new places every work day, get paid to do it! :)

Cons

Sometimes long days and you only get paid when the aircraft door closes, but that's an industry standard Occasionally deal with difficult people, but you knew that you would coming in, right? :) Some cities hotels aren't the best, but again, all regional airlines have this issue from time to time Be careful when deadheading on other airlines aircraft, it is difficult to get paid properly if you are delayed for any reason.
