      Pros

      Earned vacations is generous. PTO time also.

      Cons

      Poor management regarding operations. They have no experience in driving trucks or have CDL's. Telling garbagemen how to drive trucks and pick up garbage when they have never done it doesn't work. They rely on computers and college geeks to tell you how to do it. Good luck. Favoritism runs rampant.

      Frustrating Environment For Employees Who Want To Grow And Make A Difference

      -Hires GREAT people who enter into the organization motivated -Has a positive name in most communities -Has set core values that align with employee's personal values -Working (slowly) towards process improvement -CEO that knows the business and understands how to grow it

      Cons

      -Management (division, area, region, and HQ) completely FAILS to retain said GREAT people (low raises, low-quality training, dismissive attitudes) -Low morale completely ignored -Terrible review system. How do 90% of the employees get rated "Meets Expectations" when 30% probably exceed and 30% are below? But you all get 2% raise! Right on! -Pay/bonues, benefits (medical, personal development) tend to be on the lower scale -Those great core values I mentioned above aren't really valued.

      Decent pay and good benefits

      Cons

      Too many reorganizations. I had 4 different area controllers in 5 years. Had to work 60 hours a week to get job done. Company doesn't value accounting staff. Won't staff accounting departments sufficiently. Too much of a boys club. Female managers a rarity, especially at higher levels.
