Awful management. Didn't really get any training there and expected you do get a large route done without the proper vehicle or resources you need to get it done. I was stressed, nervous anxious everyday trying to figure out how I'm going to get it done with the vehicle that's the wrong size and not getting help. Also got picked on by other drivers because I was different and younger. I was also bullied by the ops manager and humiliated by a supervisor. They were afraid to let a younger person drive a big truck, but it was because they didn't like me and I knew it, but I didn't do anything to deserve being treated like that. I was sterotyped because of my age and the fact I was from a different environment.

The business unit that I worked out of was literally ran by 2 supervisors who had little to no sales experience. Young and inexperienced “yes men” who will not stand up for what is right. I lost more customers than I could sign due to drivers just flat out refusing to do their jobs. It’s pretty bad when their own employees are canceling their own trash and recycling services because the company couldn’t even provide them consistent service. Yes, their own employees are canceling their services with the company they work for because they’re not getting the service they’re paying for….need I say more? As a sales rep here this is what you will be forced to sell. Forced to look at customers and tell them “we’re not the low cost provider because we’re a PREMIUM service” knowing that there’s a slim to none chance that Republic Services will even provide the service. You’ll be inundated with constant phone calls from the moment you sign a customer with complaints. NON STOP. The company is a churn and burn. Complaints? Oh well “move on to the next” I have never in my life worked for a company that just genuinely does not care about their customers or their employees.
