Pros

I have heard that there has been a lot of changes to the company after since 2018. This is based on my the instance of Reputation.com that I experienced. - Great management. Desmond was the Director of Sales there and he taught me from the ground up. I still keep in contact with him today. I hope I could work with him again in the future. They were willing to spend on bonuses and expensed outings to maintain moral. - Great facilities. A lot of room for recreation. Just enough private offices for the number of employees. And great view. - Great people. Some of those people are good friends today.

Cons

- Redwood City is a hike...... Think about it..... Densely populated areas in the bay is San Jose, San Francisco, and maybe Milpitas/Fremont area. Which ever of those previously listed areas can take up to two hours one way. My worst day from San Jose to Redwood City was nearly 3 hours. - As of late, new CEO have laid off much of the old management and recruiting his own team. I heard the new culture is much different now. - Desmond Tsai is no longer there!!!

Hey There! Thank you for sharing into detail about your time with Reputation.com. We are glad you recommend Reputation.com as a great career choice and found some friends in colleagues along the way. In regards to the location of our offices, as the bay area's traffic does increase we have provided our employees with a couple accommodating options; Cal Train passes for the year with a delegated shuttle to drop off directly in front of our RWC building and we also just recently opened up our WeWork location in the East Bay! Thanks again for your support, with new evolvement and growth in a company does come change as well.

Pros

Despite a hostile work environment, most of the people were great and there was a family environment. Free lunches 3x a week, fully stocked kitchen, generous PTO and great health benefits.

Cons

What wasn’t a con to be honest? Management knew nothing about their departments or how to manage a team. Raises were few and far between and promotions? What are those? They only strip titles at Rep, they don’t hand them out. When you have finally had enough and decide to talk to someone, HR takes management’s side and then tells you to find a new job if you’re unhappy. On top of that, they try to use your “well-liked” status to get dirt on what other employees are saying about the company. They act like they’re transparent in company wide meetings but it’s evident that a lot of stuff was very hush-hush and they try to use free drinks at parties to cover it up. Ever since the new CEO started, so did more hostility. Hiring all of your friends to take over isn’t my idea of an inclusive environment, especially when people are dying for raises and watch the money go towards new, seemingly unnecessary positions. I feel like things were really great, with the normal work frustrations, up until that point. Oh and to top it all off? Even if you wanted to do your job and just forget all of the negativity, you couldn’t because the platform never worked! I’ve never experienced such a faulty product in my life. Icing on the cake? Finding out new employees were getting paid almost as much as you when you had put in 3 years and them, 3 minutes. In summary, it’s a no for me dog.

There are some employees who did not have the best experiences in their roles, and this is an unfortunate, but common, occurrence. Often, there could be conflict between a manager and an employee and though a resolution might happen, it may not be what one wanted to hear. In retrospect, perhaps we could have worked differently but your feedback does cause us to revisit this situation. We do appreciate your candor, and we wish you well in your future endeavors.

Pros

I've worked at reputation.com for a year, and when I was hired on, I enjoyed my work. My job description matched my duties, my management staff was fun, and social, and I felt like a valued part of a great startup. I was able to work from home when I needed to, which as a parent was very convenient. I was flown out to HQ in Redwood city to train, and lunches are catered multiple times a week, with team building lunches to boot.

Cons

When Our new CEO Joe Fuca was brought on, it was lauded as the next step in becoming a publicly traded company. Joe had helped others big companies like Docusign and Salesforce before. While the company was excited by this shift in goals, the corporate attitude shifted as well. Teams were entirely dissolved, and rolled into new ones, positions were cut and outsources to Indian contractors. Big name, beloved managers were 'leaving' left and right. I loved Reputation.com when I started. Now, I feel like a disposable part in a cold machine that's only drive is to generate revenue, and the corporate culture and employee morale has suffered as a result.
