Pros

Great talent. The company provides really good networking opportunities. RDI is definitely a career and not just another job. The President is a solid leader, very approachable and has a real pulse on what is happening.

Cons

RDI is not just Alaska anymore and this is awesome for opportunities, diversity and career growth but there could be better collaboration between branches.

Pros

Very flexible. If you need to work from home you can. Taking a day off when you need to is no problem. You can cash in your unused vacation. We typically used the newest technology, and each new project felt like a good learning experience.

Cons

Pay is very low. They are looking for kids out of college with a high GPA that they can get for next to nothing. For this reason, it's a good place to start, but if you try to build a career here you will not be paid what you are worth. I left RDI to work for an oil company making 20k more per year. A lot of folks there are reclusive. Non developers are in some project management roles (huge mistake). They skimp on health insurance (HSAs only) and dental is not included.

Pros

Flexibility, broad range of projects, the company managers are incredibly thoughtful and work with you to make sure the fit between you and your projects is the most ideal it can be. The company doesn't hire for projects, they hire because you are one of the best and that's all they take. Great teammates, most capable company I've been with.

Cons

Pay is not as high as it is with larger consulting companies located in Anchorage; benefits are expanding but leave some things to be desired; vacation accumulation rates seem low
