Pros

Plenty of overtime if you don’t mind working your life away

Cons

Revvity Greenville is a frustrating place to work. Management and HR sided with a small group of troublemakers who’ve caused problems for years, and they let go of the only manager who actually cared about the hourly workers. Now the place is a mess. I went from hardly any overtime to working 50–58 hours a week for months. The building is falling apart, morale is terrible, and the same group sits in their office laughing while nothing gets fixed. Corporate sends people in every couple of weeks who don’t understand what’s really going on. It’s clear this place is going downhill fast. I decided to leave and take a job that treats people better — even if it meant less pay.

Pros

The mission to support global newborn screening

Cons

Revvity Greenville facility operates in an unhealthy work environment where leadership fails to support the very people who keep the plant running. Upper management consistently prioritized personal projects and visibility over the well-being and safety of the team, which often left us under-resourced and vulnerable to failure. The facility's culture is negatively impacted by the lack of professionalism exhibited by certain team members. This creates a stressful work environment and discourages collaboration. The facility itself runs on antiquated equipment dating back to 1968-85, with minimal corporate investment in modernization, and poor communication from upper management. Facility leadership was verbally informed that the company might shut down the facility for relocation if and when the new equipment was approved, which created significant uncertainty. While Revvity’s global mission in newborn screening is admirable, the Greenville site is plagued by a weak management structure, outdated machinery and infrastructure, and a lack of direction. My advice: look elsewhere—this is not a place for people seeking growth, integrity, or stability.
