Pros

-You do get to set your own schedule, which greatly enables work/life balance. -The product is good -Get to discover hidden gems in your neighborhood -A good place to kick off or end your career

Cons

-Salary and commission are an absolute joke. Even the cash back at restaurants does little to curb the fact that pay is awful. -Contrary to one positive review--RN is NOT ahead of the digital trend. Very outdated with slow development to stay current. Even the new reporting was something that should have happened 4 years ago, and it is still a long way away from where it should be. -Huge disconnect between senior management and other employees. Nobody on either side of the fence respects each other, and it shows based on the attitude of the employees and lack of respect shown by both sides. -If you get into someone's inner circle, you will never lose your job. To grow in this company, suck up and suck up hard...don't worry about work ethic. For those who believe in strong work ethic, you are going to be frustrated and miserable in this company. -Very little opportunity for career growth. When that chance comes along, take it, because it will be a long time before you see it again. -Lack of training and tools to help employees perform at the top of their potential.

Pros

Rewards Network is conveniently located in downtown Chicago near Union Station and attached to Ogilvie Transportation Center. The offices were recently renovated and are impressive. Employees get nice restaurant discounts.

Cons

Starting salaries are very low, annual reviews are not very structured and raises are minimal, very little opportunity for advancement, low hiring standards.

Pros

Flexiblity, work from home, can make good money, unique product that helps you get in the door, the people were amazing, smart, and hard working. This was a good first job to break into sales (after being promoted from an Account Manager). I learned a lot from my sales manager & the company treated its' sales professionals very well while I was there. I felt respected, needed, and valued. Great team building activities and team meetings every quarter that refreshed our minds & motivation levels. I did not meet one person I did not like at RN. The company put a lot of money into making their sales force happy. They rewarded performance & recognized top performers.

Cons

In my opinion, the product was confusing and misleading the way we sold and presented it. I personally, did not feel good or right selling the product. That does not mean it is bad, restaurant owners do need what RN can offer and they are provided incredible reporting; however, the representation did not feel right. Basically, it is a tough sell and the people at RN are pretty darn smart the way they explain the cash deal to make it seem more appealing. With that said, if you are coming from any daily deal site or "groupon" & did good you will probably like & excel at RN, it is much better for restaurant owners in comparison. Personally, I did not see building a career here and had to move on. It was not a product I felt proud selling, however, everything else was good about the company.
