Pros

Fast-growing company. The company has grown every year from its inception. In 2014, Rhythm Engineering will not only grow significantly, but will double its revenue. I received a generous raise this year and expect a healthy bonus at the end of the year. Unlike the other companies I have worked for, Rhythm Engineering management expects the team to work hard and play hard. I feel that I can personally make a significant contribution to the growth of the company and make a difference in the world around me. I love it!!

Pros

The engineers were a joy to work with. The company had a good idea and good products. I actually enjoyed working there up until the moment I was escorted out the door.

Cons

Being laid off with zero severance, zero payout for accrued PTO, and being escorted out the door during the middle of a Friday with no warning whatsoever.

On March 17, 2007 Rhythm Engineering laid off approximately 65% of its R&D staff. Employees were given zero notice. Employees were given zero severance. Employees were not compensated for accrued vacation. All of which is technically legal, but I've never heard of a company that actually did it.
