Pros

Multicultural family like work environment. Co workers are very nice. The files are not too difficult. Working hrs are not too long

Cons

Seasonal small firm, has no work after tax season. No audit and limited review engagement therefore difficult to learn much in a short period of time

Pros

Richter is an amazing community of young professionnals. They are really focus into entrepreneurship and want their client to develop themselve. They give you a lot of latitude to manage your work, which is convenient and help you to learn a lot. There is not that much overtime compare to all the big 4 depending on which client you are asign to.

Cons

I felt like you have to be in touch with the right person to be able to get the highest payroll increase, the most complicated clients and to get your promotion. Annual evaluation process is not base on clear lines.

Thank you for your comments. Richter encourages all of our team members to grow professionally which is why we consider managing one’s own work is so important . We understand that work life balance is critical to the modern-day workforce as well, and seek to always find the right balance of time and work load to keep members engaged while also providing opportunities for growth and learning. Our formalised performance management system is a platform linked to annual salary reviews and bonus allocations. It is unfortunate that the parametres may not be clear to all but we are working on communicating this more clearly. Mid-year and annual round tables facilitated by Human Resources provides advisors and partners with an opportunity to hear performance feedback from everyone an individual has worked with on files; not just the direct reports. Our audit post-mandate engagement reviews also support this process. Personal performance ratings, divisional and firm results are also directly linked to annual increase and bonus calculations.
