I worked at Rigel & was laid off after during a reorganization after a late stage clinical failure.

Pros

Good benefits and competitive salary. Excellent facility in a good location. Willing to promote on merit with good raises. Bonuses in good years.

Cons

Too many Directors and Vice-Presidents. The company has a weak pipeline and the prospects for the future of the company are bleak. A lot of money is wasted on advancing weak compounds into the clinic for short term goals.

Pros

Benefits Subsidized lunch Does not use an open floor plan

Cons

Coworkers are unhelpful and sometimes flat out rude. Constant meetings where nothing gets done. The feeling at the company has changed drastically after some changes to the company. The new HR department prides themselves in keeping employees underpaid and thinking of the company first to the detriment of pretty much every aspect Rigel.
