Great benefits but inconsistent work and young environment

Pros

Clean service shop, huge tool room, annual tool allowance, boot reimbursement, retail store, huge parts warehouse, ToolWeb discounts, great 401k benefits, good pay, on-site CAT certified training department with instructor-led training classes.

Cons

Lots of techs and not enough work to spread around, often times throughout the year you will be cleaning floors because there’s no repair jobs. Mostly if not all a younger generation of techs working in the shop which makes for a less mature work environment.

Very successful company that has many unique divisions/businesses. Very stable foundation and employment

Cons

Questionable wages. Divided cultures between divisions. A lot of people have no idea what they’re doing and are only have their job based on relationships and ability to yap about non business related topics. Communication and operations are very questionable and a lot of employees lack moral character. Way to many people comfortable coasting and this kills ambition
