Pros

Benefits, above market pay. Focused on Safety. Business unit management is generally competent but are often undermined by the decisions at Rio Tinto corporate management.

Cons

Constant reductions, long hours, the people are made to pay for the poor decisions of management. The company has a short term versus long term focus.

Pros

Benefits are great if you are a salary employee. Great location in the south part of the valley.

Cons

Stay away if you want to have a life. The mid-level managers will do and say anything to keep their jobs. They use and abuse their employees. Lots of back stabbing and throwing people under the bus. No one wants to take responsibility.

Pros

good pay, great benefits, diversify cultures, free gym, (some) fun coworkers

Cons

too much to put in here. You name it: politics, games, betrayal, side taking, sleep their way up, manager is just someone who monitors what time you come in and go home and propose your position to be eliminated. Sucks environment. No job secure whatsoever.
