Well-respected team within a high-performance company
Pros
Rippling is super high performing, both at the company level and at the team level. That's resulted in the company experiencing a ton of growth very quickly, and being successful in fundraising through what was a broad downturn in tech in 2022-2024. Compared to other companies at a similar scale, Rippling has best-in-class operational and financial performance. If you're looking for a career accelerator, this is the place. The BizOps team in particular is well respected in the org, and works with a high level of autonomy and senior executive buy-in. The team is filled with smart, capable folks, and everyone is kind, thoughtful, and helpful. I've had the opportunity to work directly with our senior executives on some of the highest priority initiatives for the business, and it's clear that the work I'm doing is going to have a measurable impact on Rippling's future. That's not something I'd be able to get at another company of this size.
Cons
Even though Rippling is a large company, it is growing rapidly and you'll face frequent changes in priority and direction similar to what you'd see in an earlier stage startup. This could be a con if you're looking for a more stable working environment. Also like at earlier stage startups, Rippling teams work hard and are held accountable to a high standard of work. This could be a con if you're optimizing entirely for work-life balance. To be clear, the work-life-balance in the BizOps team is significantly better than professional services/finance - it's just not going to be a "rest and vest" environment. The compensation benefits at Rippling are not best-in-class.
