Pros

Very high level of autonomy on ownership. I've never worked with a smarter or more talented group. Across all roles and departments. The quality bar here is very high which pushes all of us to do our best (and push one another). Equally as focused on operations as creative output. Rare combo! Strong bias towards output which is very rewarding. We're constantly shipping new, cool stuff!

Cons

Communication sometimes breaks down due to the pace of things. This has improved A LOT as we've scaled but there's still room to improve.

Pros

Rippling is growing fast, and being a multi-product startup, there's always a lot to do. And so it's good there is premium on action. You get what you are sold - you cannot not Run Hard. At the same time, there is opportunity to structure your work so you have time for life beyond work. For eg, it's rare to receive slacks or mails over weekend. And late night calls are a norm at every US based company. The product is not perfect, but changes are quick. Sometimes product tweaks are only a few slack messages away. That's refreshing. Management is young, but good to work with and keen to listen. The place is still quite small, and senior mgmt is quite accessible.

Cons

The current economic situation is creating uncertainty, and when combined with the pace of this company, the pace at which things change can be disconcerting for some. There is a culture of high accountability, and so it's important to always remain on top of one's game. This place is not for anybody looking for stability or perfect processes that one is merely implementing. This place is for people who want to roll up their sleeves and build the process.
