Pros

Rise offers a great benefits package and flexible schedule. You do not feel overworked because you choose how your day looks often. The pay is lower, but the flexibility and work life balance is strong.

Cons

The pay is low and being a non-profit you do not get crazy perks.

Pros

Great company with opportunities to grow! I have been at Rise for over ten years and still love it. i started off as a supervisor and now manage several programs. I have had continuous opportunists to grow and be challenged. The Senior Leadership is progressive and innovative and brought the organization a long ways forward in the years I have been here. They are involved at the systems level working to improve funding and services so that we can provide better services and pay to the people we support and those that work here. The organization is mission focused and works hard to do live up to our goals.

Cons

We need to do a better job of training people. This has been an ongoing need and we have been working hard to improve that system. We need to implement a pay system that incentivizes high performers to continue to do great work. This includes recognition and performance based pay increases. These are things that we are working towards. We need to develop our middle managers so we have a consistent quality of leadership at all places and all levels of the company. Rise is a very large nonprofit so one person's experience does not reflect equally on all parts of the company. We want and need everyone to have the same high quality experience.

Pros

Some of the clients, mid management, and co-workers are great.

Cons

There is favoritism. Some people got away with a lot because they "donated" to the company. Meanwhile, they fired a disabled Veteran, and denied him unemployment. All because the President didn't like him. Also, the President is nothing but a greedy tyrant. She makes about 250,00 a year while the rest of us made starvation wages. She claims this company is all about the "clients." But in reality, it's all about money. In fact, most of the clients hate Rise and want to leave!
