Pros

Nice building Good facilities and amenities Diverse ethnically and in most other ways Reasonably flexible working hours Good people all around Pretty positive workplace

Cons

This is a place for people more concerned about their titles and salary than the quality of work environment or end result. Not necessarily a bad thing, but you don't see a whole lot of younger people working in digital. Restrictive business policies regarding dress code and personal equipment, among others, don't reflect a cultural value system that changes with the times. Not the best tools provided for the job Cubes or meeting rooms are the only space to get anything done Communication up the management ladder doesn't seem to go anywhere

Smart Company Progressing

Pros

I've only been here a month, but so far I feel very welcome and embraced by everyone I've met. My previous job had a culture where you are seen but not heard by upper management. So far, that is not the case here. CEO types will say hi to you in the hall - it is more integrated and less hierarchical. It also a comfortable work environment, with lots of amenities, and housed in a beautiful, modern building. There is a hunger here for new ideas and enthusiasm to take this company into the future.

Cons

There seems to be an undercurrent of division between how Ritchie Bros used to function and how it is today, or where its going in the future. You will hear often of a wide management change in 2014. However, this is unlikely to be a problem if you are not connected with Ritchie Bros.' past.
