If you like photography this job is for you. Fun to learn about all the new cameras and play with the latest toys always changing. Helping people to make there picture better

Cons

company down sizing but able to regroup and expand. Changing with the time as the industry grows in a new direction expanding into education programs and imaging

Pros

Customers, technology, flexibility, benifits, and fun. Each day was different and I couldn't wait to go to work so that I could help each and every person who walked through that door with the best knowledge in the bussiness.

Cons

The pay is not that great, also some of the stores can be short staffed durring the hollidays, on-line competition has dirastically reduced revenue in the last 4 years as well.

Pros

Potential to make a decent paycheck, especially when you knew the right cameras to sell and got an Expanded Service Policy on it. On a really good sale, you might make $100 commission or more. Managers have a lot of leeway in how the store is run, in terms of the culture. It can be a lot of fun, or a daily terror.

Cons

Corporate people really seem to have lost touch with the retail side. Slow business/sales is usually blamed on the associates for not selling the product.services hard enough. Since digital cameras came on the market, the company has steadily been losing ground and money. Any company that files for two chapter 11 bankruptcies in three years has some problems.
