Great company to work for, looks after employees well

Pros

-Employees looked after very well (health care, life insurance, shares etc...) -Ability for employees to venture out to different areas of the company and expand their horizons they see a need/niche -Open door policy

Cons

-HR have been known to be a little shady when dealing with confidential situations. Approach carefully -As with all companies, if you get a dodgy manager it can ruin your experiences. Unfortunately, Riverbed is not exempt from this as I have known of managers who play favorites. Room for growth can be limited

Pros

Flexible, employee Can work in SF or Sunnyvale; They treat us like adults: Management trusts the workers to get their job done and lets them do just that; It was actually a bit of culture shock to work in a place where the management is not micro-managing them. Work-life balance is amazing

Cons

Nothing I can think of, would be nice to provide bus to for people that commute from Sunnyvale to SF or SF to sunnyvale

Hard Work and Fast Pace, but Good People and Rewards

Pros

Lots of opportunity, great growth, ability to wear a lot of hats and be involved at all levels of the organization, flexible work environment, smart and fun people to work with and good compensation/benefits.

Cons

Kiss work/life balance good bye - the pace is insane, and never slows down. A lot of red tape for such a small company, sometimes makes it hard to get things done.
