Pros

Opportunity to earn a lot of money IF they decide to keep you around

Cons

I read some bad reviews about this company before I decided to join as a legal recruiter. I took them with a grain of salt, as I felt that sometimes people posting negative reviews are just bitter. I can say without reservation or hesitation that this is the worst company I have ever worked for. I had previously been an attorney, and that was never really for me. I was looking to transition into something different. I have since done so at a different company, where I am very happy. Robert Half hired me and several others on and then after about two months laid me off due to an "accounting error." Another person had just been laid off the weekend before me for similar reasons, though he had been there a bit longer than I had. I had already had some success in the short time I was there, and was assured by co-workers that there was nothing I could have done differently, that this was just typical. I had quit a good job for this, and felt that it was extremely unethical. The director who was my boss didn't even come in that day to tell me what was happening, I suppose due to embarrassment and awkwardness. She made a more senior member of the team do the dirty work for her, which was also unfair. I can't say that this experience is typical for all locations, but I do know that I had been a diligent employee for that brief time, that I had already started out with some success (and was even told that I made my first placement faster than anyone on the team had before). More than anything, I was insulted that I didn't even receive any apology or some form of compensation when they sent me packing, especially after I had forfeited a good job for this. I got the general sense that most people felt completely expendable to the company and that there was a general sense of fear. Another person who started there just before me quit shortly after this incident, which was probably smart on her part. I would not recommend anyone to take a job with this company. Additionally, they treat all of the job candidates they work for as expendable, waste their time, etc. They do work hard to get some people a job, but are extremely judgmental, and only work for the candidates they can place right away. This is all understandable since they work on a lot of commission, but, at the same time, actively wasting the time of candidates and misleading them doesn't seem right to me. As a final note, I will say that I worked in "permanent placements," which I actually consider as preferable to the temporary placement group. I would have disliked working on that group much more.

Pros

At this time I cannot think of any pros.

Cons

They will mislead you into thinking this is the best job you will ever have. They will lie to you how they work and their commission structure. They will lie to you about the culture of the place which by the way is the worst culture I had ever been in. They will lie to you about your salary. You're thinking your being paid a salary but you're really being paid hourly which means you need to put in at least 50 hours in the office. They will lie to you about giving candidates referral bonuses, it comes out of your paycheck! What! And lastly they will lie to you about parking. They don't pay for parking. You're in the middle of Westwood, fend for yourself! They won't care if your car gets towed, your tires get slashed or anything to that extent. By the way, I've witnessed all those things happens to employees cars. In my short stay at this horrible place I saw 9 people leave. HUGE TURNOVER due to Management. Upper management is just awful. Car salesman training. Beware of this company. I would take ANY offer before I go here!
