Pros

Wknds and holidays off, as long as you’re hitting your numbers.

Cons

All numbers based. They make cuts even when they know the economy is slower. Also, ITS A SALES JOB. I thought I was going to be recruiting and placing, but I also had to search for jobs to fill. It wasn’t what I was told when I was hired. Lots of mandatory meetings that waste the time when you should be prioritizing work. Lots of that fake salesman talk and relationships. They also lied and said we would stay remote. Then they had us in the office twice a week and then three days a week with no reason, no mentorship just remembering the past.

Pros

I will say that they were great to work with during the pandemic, they allowed us to work remotely for as long as we needed, and provided a stipend for anything we might need to buy to set up a home office.

Cons

Honestly I had the worst time working here. The company culture was terrible, and it was hard to make any long-term connections. I also think the way we had to treat contractors on assignment with us was terrible, obviously it was all for the clients' bottom line, but I remember being on a call with a supervisor and they said in these cases "we have to let go of that empathy we kind of naturally want to have with people" which just did not sit right with me and my worldview. Also, there was no set way to go about contacting candidates, which meant the quality of service throughout the company varied SO widely

Pros

Robert half is a large and reputable company. It will be good to have on your resume, is well known, and well established.

Cons

The leadership in San Diego overseeing the region is a huge red flag. Bullying and manipulation are common. Favoritism to men over women runs rampant and the director leads by making people feel small and not by being an example of something to strive for. The director has never worked anywhere but Robert Half so does not have any other examples of corporate environments or work culture. The branch managers collectively feel this way but when going to HR nothing changes. Other branches have different experiences. The work itself is not the issue here, it is the leadership.
