      Awesome Exec Team Really Really Trashy Middle Managers

      Pros

      - How friendly people are until they become trashy middle managers. - Executives usually mean well and genuinely care. - Executives are also generally accessible.

      Cons

      - Middle managers and up to some Directors are trash (lack of maturity and or experience). - They set expectations one way then say and do things differently. All to make sure they look good instead of doing the right thing. - Immature middle managers will straight up ghost you. - Inexperienced trashy middle managers and directors do not think critically about the situation nor do they look to learn and understand the full picture. - These same people are very quick to complain, rat you out, and write you off even though you on the same team working towards the same goal.

      Cool product Stocked kitchens Great benefits Fun off sites

      Cons

      Lots of politics and lots of churn. They keep their turnover stats low by chopping people quickly. Anyone is dispensable and it turns on a dime. Lots of micromanaging. No remote work, no flexibility. PTO is officially unlimited but whether you can take it varies by team

      Great company that makes frustrating decisions because they are privately-owned and in an impenetrable monopoly.

      Pros

      Flexible structure, modern company, a feeling that you’re a part of something big. Good youthful culture. Roblox is amazing company with tons of amazing people and is a great place to work. Its potential is truly underestimated by the public and the media. This “kid’s platform” has games already competing with top steam titles in terms of player counts and revenue, and it is still growing. Roblox has an incredibly liquid corporate structure and that makes it a fun place for flexible people who like to take initiative to work.

      Cons

      Roblox maintains a virtually impenetrable monopoly due to countless patents and ten years of platform development. That allows senior management to be lazy and make serious mistakes but still the company keeps growing. A lot of the company (mostly business side) doesn’t really have a good grasp of what the platform is. This leads to frustratingly poor business decisions that are completely out of touch with the UGC nature of the company.
