Pros

Rockwell Automation is a great company to work for. The incentives are great. However its a very number driven company, if you are not accustomed to working a 24/7 schedule to handle work needs, it can be brutal on your personal and family life.

Cons

- The Management team for South East Asia clearly has no leadership to execute the vision. - A very political environment to work in. - The current Management team for South East Asia show favouritism though which make it very hard to advance. - The current HR team for Singapore is a joke. HR is unwilling to listen to real, true concerns about and problems with management. Instead you are told to "play and adapt to the game, if not leave". There is the typical corporate bureaucracy, except at Rockwell Automation, it is worse than other companies

Pros

There seems to be good investment in graduate programs and development. Good opportunities for those seeking a career in project management. Rapid career development for high achievers. Good travel opportunities.

Cons

Company policies and business strategies are geared around hardware and product sales. There seems to be little interest from upper management with regards to providing solutions. Very poor customer service. There is a attitude of just putting any body on the job rather than selecting competent resources with the relevant skill sets. Decision making is carried out by HR and Sales, management is often bypassed. There is little encouragement and no defined path for those seeking a technical career. Hierarchy is such that only management is recognized. There is a reluctance to hire qualified experienced engineers. Growth strategy based around hiring non-technical managers and graduates. Benefits could be better matched to other major industry players.
