      Very ethical place to work, Midwest culture sometimes a barrier, "Good ol' boy" network excludes other high performers

      Pros

      Very ethical company, lots of autonomy, good work/life balance, interesting field, wonderful collaborative culture (competitive without being cut-throat), outstanding colleagues that you'll be proud to work with

      Cons

      Very little recognition for outstanding work, very "clique-y" culture that easily excludes people who don't "fit in", opaque career paths, the midwest white male culture has a hard time grasping the needs and perspectives of global colleagues such as in Asia, very slow and risk averse. It seemed that only the squeaky wheels got rewarded, so those with narcissistic personalities got promotions, raises, and other rewards while those who were doing excellent work in a collaborative way were completely overlooked.

      Pros

      -Great pay -Good / up to date technologies to work with

      Cons

      They fire / lay-off people way too often. There is way too much turn-over in management and staff. Un-properly trained management. People are promoted to managers with no management training and subsequently make basic management mistakes that drastically effect their employees.

      Pros

      Benefits are OK. Facility is nice. It has a full gym and a workout room and other on-site goodies. Too bad the overworked employees don't have time for that.

      Cons

      No work/home life balance. Management wants to squeeze every once out of your personal life, to the point you eventually don't have one.
