Pros

Benefits and compensation are good: 2 weeks off in the winter; $5K personal development stipend; 4 weeks work from anywhere; trips around the world (not this year).

Cons

Heed the negative reviews: They are not from incompetent, disgruntled people. Rokt has fired dozens of highly competent, capable individuals. If you do not conform to the "high-pace" culture, which is "not for everyone" (as they frame it), you will be let go. To succeed at Rokt, you have to be the loudest in the room. I've found the loudest person is not usually the most insightful. It's a popularity contest: The most obsequious, Rokt-obsessed, overworking kiss-up will be succeed here. The product is: 1) Quite boring; 2) Helpful to no one; 3) Not at all targeted or personalized, contrary to what they want you and the clients to believe; 4) Very hard to sell to advertisers who are not willing to spend millions. The UX is very outdated, and the org is slow to make changes. The BD organization is all over the map. There is no effective strategy in place coming from leadership. They have changed the structure of the commercial organization various times. I saw another review mention Big Brother office culture - spot on. Used to be flexible how many days you come in per week. Last I checked, 4 was mandatory, and this is strictly adhered to. There feels like very limited room to develop here professionally unless you mold yourself to the (unnecessarily) demanding culture there is. It takes a long time to get a promotion, and you must work day and night for it. From a social point of view, the org is very cliquey, and it is hard to know who you can trust, since everyone is feeding into the Rokt machine. If you want my honest opinion, the people that stay stay for the money above all else. If you are motivated financially, perhaps you can overlook the great personal suffering you will endure from performing the role of an enthusiastic, Rokt-obsessed drone for 9 hours every day. At the end of the day, I have been so much happier accepting less compensation and working in an office where I feel respected and welcomed rather than micromanaged and judged.
