      Will fire engineers because of changes

      Pros

      Speed and Motivation: the CEO will send you emails every day to keep you motivated to win everything for the company. Bias for action: most decisions are reversible, so they are happy to rehire engineers that was recently fired.

      Cons

      CEO usually want to make some changes every April. Better take a brief gap during this month.

      Pros

      Rokt has a great culture. Loved [most of] the people I worked with there. Their perks are excellent as well. Company trips once a year.

      Cons

      They need to do a better job of people management. Several managers are just not the right fit nor capable of mentoring people. There's a serious issue of favouritism there. If you don't manage to make it to the inner circle early on, you will find yourself becoming a part of the wallpaper very soon. Didn't matter what you had to say or how good you are.

Our company culture and work environment is something we are incredibly proud of and invest a lot of time and effort into. We truly believe it sets us apart from other companies. We’re sorry however to hear that you did not have a great experience when it comes to management. This is definitely an area we are investing heavily in as we recognize how crucial this is to the experience and growth you have at Rokt - however we also acknowledge this is highly dependent on your specific manager and his/her people management capabilities. In addition to our regular engagement surveys and 180 degree feedbacks, we have also recently introduced a new training program for all our people leaders - to better equip them with the tools they need to be effective, not only managing, but also leading, coaching and developing their teams.       Literally such a GREAT place to work

      Pros

      + Super human: people really care about one another - and in all the tech companies I have worked for, or companies in any industry, this is the first one where people's needs are considered beyond their job. + Flexible working - being able to work from home and office allows me to be the best I can be in both worlds, but also when I have travelled to visit family interstate I can work from there too. + Whilst being fast paced, there are lots of opportunities to get involved in interesting projects that extend and grow you - professional development is encouraged with a generous allowance to support my learning journey. + LOVE LOVE LOVE the food, events and fun stuff; there are people that are dedicated for creating the best experiences for all of us from when we were working remotely (receiving Valentine's Day Chocolate Smash Box) to amazing in house lunches, great snacks and fun activities. + I can see myself staying at Rokt for a long time as the people are so great and I can see different possibilities for me to grow in my career.

      Cons

      + the timezones can be a little challenging at times but now that we are much more used to working remotely due to COVID we are much better at collaborating across the oceans. + this is a pro and a con - with the company growing so quickly there is so much opportunity but can sometimes feel overwhelming - but this comes with the territory and I love this type of pace - if you are looking for a tick and flick role this is not for you.
