Pros

Excellent salary, challenging and rewarding rolls, good and supported progression, real responsibility right from the start of your career, high trust and autonomy. Bonus scheme is tangible and has delivered well over the past few years. Good corporate culture, and real pride of the company brand.

Cons

IT has been outdated for a while due to overly high levels of security, though this had improved dramatically in recent years.

Pros

They value engineering and innovation. Massive order book, very successful at winning orders in the marketplace. Can work in a variety of different locations, functions, and markets.

Cons

They have a very bureaucratic culture, one that values inclusion and consensus which slows decision making. They are too 'top heavy' with several managers that have little accountability, creating confusion in some cases across the organisation.

Pros

Strong community, an extensive breadth of knowledge within the company and everybody I came across is determined to learn as much as possible and provide the possible solution to a problem.

Cons

Due to the extensive engineering knowledge required to be part of the company, a lot of this talent disappears as people reach retirement.
