      RootMetrics was acquired by IHS then IS merged with Markit - we went from being a dynamic, fast-moving entity to one that was constrained by large corporate company bureaucracy. It often felt that the new owners didn't really know what to do with us - we were somewhat of a square peg in a round hole. Whilst salary and overall benefits package was good, the level of real 'in the business' support available to staff, particularly those based outside of the US Divisional HQ was very limited. Ultimately the business was recently sold to Ookla and IHS Markit itself was acquired by S&P.
