You can learn a lot if you work with the right people.

Cons

-Management does a lot of things out of spite towards employees. -Managers take each other's sides when employees have valid complaints, without making any attempt to investigate the issue or ask employees who were present for an altercation with a manager/foreman. -If you work in the prefab shop and do well, they refuse to transfer you to a jobsite to gain experience for the JATC apprenticeship program. -Managers/Foremen in the prefab shop show favoritism to certain employees based on race/language. -Managers/Foremen exaggerate and fabricate stories to make employees that they don't like look bad without consequence. -Foreman and managers have no interest in training new hires on how to use machines and equipment, which causes safety issues and a decrease in production.

Pros

Open door policy with upper management when addressing concerns in the field or in the the office. The company values its employees by putting safety before everything else in the work environment regardless of the impacts on budgets, schedules or scope of work involved.

Cons

No cons that I can think of. I would still be working there today if I had not decided to transition into a different career.
